Last Saturday evening a charity event took place at the restarant I work at. The aim was to raise money for the Ananda Adikari Foundation that our chef Ananda founded in 2001 and that focuses on humanitarian projects in Sri Lanka. The proceeds of this event will be used to buy waterfilters in the northwest of the country which will help to prevent renal diseases due to water pollution.

With the help of his wife and our staff he prepared an amazing buffet full of Sri Lankan specialities. I had to sneek into the kitchen multiple times during the evening to take a bite of one of the wonderful things that were waiting there to be served :). Our guests, which were very numerous this evening, were kindly asked to donate as little or as much as they wanted. At the end of the evening Ananda was happy, our guests full and satisfied and we were tired but very very pleased to see that the donation box we had placed next to the buffet got pretty full :).

On the pictures down below you can see some impressions of the evening.

By the way, if you wanna have a drink, grab something to eat, if you are interested in football, icehockey or tennis, if you wanna catch the last ray of sunlight in the evening or if you’re in need of a nice location for a date, so basically for every occation: Piccolo Giardino is the right place for you :).
