Hello everyone 🙂
Last Saturday, I was the bridesmaid at my friend Carmen’s wedding. Before telling you a little bit about my dress, I wanted to bring up something that I was thinking about that whole day. We all know that on a wedding you „celebrate love“, but on that very day, it blew me away how much love there was around us. How much love you could actually feel and see – in the couple’s eyes, in their families‘ speeches, in the preacher’s sermon, in the happy tears that were cried (of which I was responsible for a good part ;)), – love was literally in the air. I feel like because the whole celebration is about a couple that (hopefully) is so much in love that they want to stay together for the rest of their lives, everyone is just a bit more aware of what they feel for the people around, even if this love is there every single, normal day. So what I took from this wedding – beside the fact that I REEEEEEALLY want to get to wear a beautiful wedding dress one day (come on, Amor, PLEASE!) – is that we should try to be a bit more aware of the love we have for our family, friends, pets, the guy we see in the bus every morning, or for whoever we might like, every single day.
The dress I wore was from ASOS. They have quite a good selection of wedding guest dress options there, so if you can’t find anything where you live, you might check their selection out. I was wearing the long option here, but it also comes as a midi dress or even shorter. I was planning on wearing heels but luckily I opted for a pair of good old ballerinas in which I could run around as much as needed.
So much on my first wedding experience ever. It was a great one and I can’t wait for more to come. Oh and to whoever invented waterproof mascara: Thanks, you’re my hero :).
Thank you for reading and have a lovely day.
